Destiny will break them.

The Story
A young prince is forced to hide his identity after his family is betrayed. Raised as a humble farm boy under the name Talan, he grows up alongside his adopted brother Finn and his childhood friend Wren, believing he has left his royal past behind. But as monsters begin reclaiming the wilderness and an uncaring king allows the kingdom to fall into decline, Talan slowly realizes he may be the only person capable of saving Ardain.
The story is about family, friendship, sacrifice, and discovering that true leadership is earned through compassion, courage, wisdom, and hope — not birthright.
What waits inside
Talan, Finn, and Wren grow up as farm children with no idea what one of them was born to be.
The same magic that gifted Ardain its power gave rise to the beasts now reclaiming its roads and woods.
Compassion, courage, wisdom, and hope — the things a crown cannot hand down.
The World
Ardain is a kingdom of quiet farming villages, bustling market towns, ancient forests, and towering mountains. Long ago, magical seeds were planted from the snow-capped peaks of the Drakson Mountains to the shimmering coast of Ashland, gifting the people mystical powers. But the people of Ardain weren't the only ones to receive the gift. Many monsters were born from that magic as well.
The Author
Becky Huneke lives in Central Texas with her son Billy and her dog Bullet. She enjoys reading books and becoming attached to fictional characters.
For me, stories have always been about people. Magic, monsters, and epic adventures are wonderful, but it's friendship, family, loyalty, and sacrifice that stay with me long after I turn the final page. My hope is that when you finish this series, you'll remember Talan, Finn, Wren, and the rest of the people of Ardain as fondly as I do.
